A huge well done to our Year 6 pupils for reading so beautifully at their Leavers' Mass yesterday, and to the whole school for singing with such enthusiasm. Our sincere thanks to Fr Mark for leading such a lovely and meaningful Mass, reminding us of the greatest commandment: "Love one another."

Thank you also to our school choir, who led the final hymn, We Will Go Out as Disciples, accompanied by their percussion instruments. It was a wonderful way to conclude this special celebration as we wish our Year 6 pupils every blessing on the next stage of their journey.

Congratulations to Father Jonathan! May God continue to bless your vocation and work.Congratulations, Fr Jonathan Henry!

On Saturday 4 July, there was great joy at St Chad’s Cathedral as Jonathan Henry was ordained to the priesthood by Archbishop Bernard Longley.

Originally from St Anthony of Padua Parish in Oxford and currently serving at St Carlo Acutis Parish in Wolverhampton, Fr Jonathan was joined by family, friends and parishioners from across the Archdiocese for this special occasion.

Please keep Fr Jonathan in your prayers as he begins his priestly ministry, serving God’s people with faith, generosity and joy.
